Chair Yoga

We will use chairs throughout the class both for seated and standing poses. The chairs give support which can help with balance and stability allowing for increased freedom and expression in the poses. The first part of the class is seated. We then move on to standing poses with the chairs. Poses can be modified for those individuals with limited ability to stand for lengths of time. Come give it a try!

Part of our Sundays at the Beach series: every 1st Sunday at noon on the Great Highway at Irving.

DRAG is coming to “Ocean Calling”

“Ocean Calling” artists Sarah McCarthy Grimm and Jamae Tasker have joined forces with two dynamic drag artists, OBSIDIENNE and Will Power.

June 21st, starting at 7 pm, we offer QUEER SOULSTICE to celebrate the longest day of the year, Pride Month and six months since Ocean Calling’s first pop-up.

OBSIDIENNE and Will Power will grace “Ocean Calling” with their stunning craft, embracing the beauty, pain and transformation that loss, grief and even death can bring. At the same time, inviting that special JOY we can experience when we get to witness drag.

Yay for art in all its incredible forms!

“Ocean Calling” is located where Ortega Street meets Ocean Beach at Sunset Dunes park.
